1 DAY MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID NUCO FAA LEVEL 2 AWARD – 15th April

Aim (Intent) of the Course:  This course introduces the First Aid for Mental Health action plan which allows learners to provide their peers with comprehensive guidance and support for a suspected mental health condition.

Learners will be able to recognise signs and symptoms and provide signposting to professional help whilst also supporting that person through the process of healing.   This is a very interesting and interactive course. NUCO FAA Level 2 Three First Aid Certificate is awarded upon successful completion.

Course Objectives (by the end of the course you will be able to):

• Have a better understanding of common mental health conditions
• Able to recognise signs and symptoms of illness
• Learn how to have a supportive conversation
• Signposting for professional help
• Promote good Mental Health strategies within your organisation

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for anyone who has an interest in Mental Health support or would like to work toward becoming a Mental Health Supervisor in the work place.

Previous knowledge/experience: No previous knowledge or experience needed.

• How you will be assessed:  Practical scenario and small test
• Good Spoken and Written English Language skills are required
